I like me.....Nancy Carlson

This was my favorite book growing up! I was given this book by my older cousin. One day, I came home from school visibly upset, and my cousin asked me why I was crying. I told her that I was picked on by some of my classmates, because I was different. I told her that I wished that I was like them. I wished that I looked different. She calmed me down by telling me how special I was, and how beautiful I was. The following day she came over to bring me a surprise. It was this book! This book made to feel better about my differences, and embrace who I was. It helped me to build self-confidence. If you come across any young child that struggles with low self esteem, please read them this book. It will change their outlook about things. Ashley Wilkins-Miller
